**What You Will Be Doing**

The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) Workforce Lead is responsible for leading the AHA workforce at Peninsula Health to provide excellent clinical care, achieve maximal operational effectiveness and foster partnerships within and external to Peninsula Health. This role provides professional governance for AHAs across all programs of Peninsula Health. It will provide operational governance to multidisciplinary AHAs working in acute inpatient and subacute inpatient services (except for AHAs in the Acute Rehabilitation Program) and will also be responsible for coordination of clinical placements for AHA students across Peninsula Health. This role is an integral member of the Allied Health Leadership Team, and is responsible for leading implementation of recommendations from the Victorian AHA Workforce Project Recommendations (Department of Health).

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Allied health professional with current registration with Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for membership of relevant professional association
- Recent experience in managing delivery of Allied Health services at a senior level
- Extensive and advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience in working with AHAs
- Strong knowledge of acute and sub-acute inpatient services
- Ability to work collaboratively and as an effective member of a senior leadership team
- Ability to support and supervise staff, promote professional competence and foster individual staff development
- Extensive human resource management experience
- High level skills in project management, service development and quality improvement activities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and relationship management
- Strong and innovative strategic planning skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong financial management and problem-solving skills including break-even or better budget management
- Effectively lead and manage change

It is desirable to also have experience and interest in conducting research as there will be opportunity to collaborate with our Allied Health Senior Researchers to develop and evaluate innovative AHA models of care.
