**About the role**

Group Strategy focuses on providing thought leadership and strategic support to facilitate decision making at the Senior Management and Board level through strategy development and execution support of strategic agenda of the Bank.

As a Manager, Group Strategy, you will work closely with the Team Lead, Group Strategy to support the Head of Group Strategy & Innovation in developing and executing Great Southern Banks’s strategy. You will work across a diverse range of projects across the bank encompassing all elements of strategy and corporate development including growth and market entry, product development, marketing and distribution, process improvement, optimisation, and M&A.

This is a full-time position based in our Sydney head office.

**Responsibilities and Impact**
- Play an integral role in our growth and transformation journey at Great Southern Bank
- Have tangible impact from Day 1 with a far broader scope than a similar role at a Big 4 bank
- Be a change agent - and deliver meaningful change that will help our customers craft a better financial future
- Leading and supporting projects related to our strategy spanning across all business units including growth and market entry, product development, marketing and distribution, process improvement, optimisation, and M&A
- Supporting the Group’s bi-annual strategic planning process
- Monitoring and advising the organisation on the external competitive environment and topics of strategic importance to our business
- Building out unique, creative, and impactful solutions by integrating insights across internal experts and supporting collaborative solution development

ve**Y Experience and qualifications**
- To be eligible for this role you will have attained a degree or post-graduate qualifications in a
- related discipline (e.g. Finance, Business, MBA)
- 2-4+ years’ relevant experience from a top tier Management Consulting firm or 4+ years in a Corporate Strategy role
- A proven consulting toolkit with superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to incorporate innovative approaches in solving complex problems
- Ability to lead and manage projects with multiple stakeholders
- Highly developed verbal and written skills and visual communications
