**About the Position**

Anglicare’s Home and Community teams provide support and services that enable our clients to maintain their independence - living happily and healthily within their own homes. Our non-clinical lifestyle programs are designed to support individual needs, incorporating the principles of social inclusion, choice and control, enablement, empowerment and independence; and our clinical supports include nursing and allied health care at home, along with domestic and personal assistance.

We are currently looking for an Allied Health Assistant to join our
**Cleveland team on a permanent part-time basis of 60hrs a fortnight. **Undertaking a variety of clinical support tasks to assist the allied health staff to provide high standards of client services. The role will support allied health staff to deliver allied health programs and services to clients in a community based or residential setting. The range of tasks will be multi-disciplinary in nature and will assist to provide effective and efficient clinical care. It may include in-home therapy programs, community integration, assisting with group activity and other specific technical and duties.

**About You**
With an energetic and enthusiastic approach, you will offer several years practical experience the community-based Allied health field and your knowledge will include:

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff, clients and their families
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise individual work commitments, and to plan, coordinate and complete tasks in an effective and timely manner
- Ability to work with a high level of independence with a good understanding of own scope of practice
- Entry level computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (desirable)
- Commitment to relevant skill development and service improvement activities
- Demonstrated commitment to client-centred care
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - and the ability to relate effectively to a wide range of people
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (AHA)
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
- National Police Certificate
- A current Queensland Driver Licence
- Full Covid vaccination evidence
