**The Role**:
Due to continued growth, we are looking for Recoveries Consultants to join our Claims Operations team. We are looking for people who can achieve cost effective and quality claims outcomes, form a logical case and ensure a fair resolution is delivered on every claim.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims within the Recoveries department, whilst achieving cost effective and quality claims handling through robust relationships with internal and external service providers.

**_Your primary responsibilities will be:_**
- Manage a portfolio of recoveries files
- Assess liability and recovery potential
- Negotiate with third parties and insurers.
- Utilise careful preparation, high levels of attention to detail and sound judgement to assess liability and move the files forward.
- Obtain a suitable and quick outcome through effective negotiation and follow up with other insurance companies.
- Application of Insurance Contracts Act, Code of Practice, Australian Debt Collection Guidelines and other regulatory authorities

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Sound knowledge of the motor claims process
- Sharp eye for detail
- Well-grounded negotiation and communication skills
- Able to deal effectively and confidently with conflict
- Effective time management capabilities
- Confidence in decision making
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- Previous debt collection, paralegal or insurance claims experience will be highly regarded
