The Claims Support Consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring that claims support activities are undertaken in a timely, efficient and accurate manner to ensure claims processing can occur efficiently. Ensuring all necessary information and documentation is readily
available when needed will support smooth communication and efficient decision making.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Triaging of files to the various recoveries and settlements teams, to achieve best cost and service outcomes
? Support with outsourcing to service providers such as Tapanda, Merc Agents, Legal panel etc
? Co-ordinating F&R (fair and reasonable) assessments and undertaking follow up action
? Loading of POLs to support Settlements claims consultants in management of their claims
? Review of 180 day no contact claims to ensure operational rhythms are maintained
? Working with internal stakeholders to assist the department in managing administrative work associated with claims to achieve best cost and service outcomes
? To follow settlement methodology ensuring company procedures and relevant legislation is adhered to
? Application of Insurance Contracts Act, Code of Practice and other regulatory authorities
