**Position Overview**:
As a Clinical Performance Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the enhancement of patient care and overall clinical outcomes through the analysis of data and the identification of opportunities for improvement. Your keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and deep understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows will be essential in driving meaningful change.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the Best Care Governance and Support team to provide analytical assistance and support for performance report development and clinical audits.
- Utilise data-driven insights to identify emerging or potential flags that may represent clinical risks or poor outcomes, as well as highlight clinical performance outcomes in high-performing areas and unwarranted variations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data extraction, analysis, and presentation to provide actionable insights to various stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Quality Systems Manager to ensure that data supporting Western Health's quality systems and Best Care Governance and Support team is reliable, contemporary, and aligned with both internal demands and external standards.
- Act as a central point for providing expert advice on all data-related matters, supporting continuous quality improvement efforts.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, data analytics, public health).
- Recent practical clinical experience, preferably in an acute health service
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to drive decision-making and process improvement.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in data extraction and manipulation tools.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage competing demands while adhering to deadlines.
