The Sub-Contractor Manager will be responsible for the management of su pplier contracts within a specified Thales project. The role will require frequent and close engagement of Installation and Civil Works supplier s to ensure that requirements are executed in accordance with technical, program, cost and performance requirements as defin ed in the contract. The role will also require frequent and close engagement of the other Project Functions, and in particular Deployment and Commercial/Legal and Contracts to ensure th at claims are fully assessed. The role is embedded into the procurement category organisation to ensure alignment with Installation and Civil Works Category strategy and benefit from all procurement category environment and best practices as well as to be in situation to cha llenge and escalate as relevant beyond project scope.

**Key Responsibilities and tasks**
- Ensure Installation and Civil Works Supplier Contract Coverage and work with Category Management to ensure that the project’s long-term requirements for Installation and Civil Works are covered by suitable supplier contracts or that these are being progre ssed in accordance with Thales’ procurement process and governance
- Support Category Management with any Project tendering activity for Construction /Installation, following Thales’ procurement process and interpret customer contract terms and conditions to draft supplier contract terms and conditions accordingly
- Manage Installation and Civil Works Supplier Contrac t between Thales and supplier from placement to close out, and maintain full visibility of purchase requisitions & orders
- Document and maintain all contractual records and ensure all contract documents are fully executed by all parties and in compliance to the contractual terms and deliverables by the Supplier/ s and Thales
- Manage Installation and Civil Works Supplier Claims and Disputes
- Receive, assess and negotiate contractual claims, in line with the contract response time requirements
- M onitor and implement change s to Installation and Civil Works scope and cost implications including support negotiation and contractual validation of change orders, maintaining change logs
- Lead ongoing performance review meetings with Installation and Civil Works suppliers, and monitoring supplier performance against all obligations
- Ensure appropr iate Supplier Relationship Management and Performance Management techniques are employed with Installation and Civil Works supplier /s to improve performance, mitigate risk and capture innovation from suppliers
- Lead any required Performance Improvement Plans with the Supplier /s to resolve operational performance issues promptly
- Identify Risks/Opportunities/Issues/Disputes and Escalate as appropriately with Commercial support and c ontribute to the Procurement or Project Risk Register for Installation and Civil Works, ensuring a ppropriate risk is captured and mitigation actions are undertaken and completed.
- Monitor Installation and Civil Works S upplier cost, quality and schedule accomplishments against contract requirements
- Track of spend under the contract/s, versus awarded price and EAC, and against work completed, and providing regular reports to Project Management

**Education & Qualifications**
- 5 years plus relevant experience in procurement, Contract Management or Quantity Surveying.
- Experience working in Deployment/Installation/Construction market.
- Procurement/Quantity Surveying/ CIPS / RICS degree/affiliation
- Financial management / Program management
- Business or an Engineering related degree
