**About Your Role: Manufacturing Repair Technician**

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Manufacturing and Repair Technician to join our Underwater Systems team based on-site in Rydalmere. In this role, you will perform maintenance, technical repair activities and manufacturing assembly work to the Sonar System.

You will collaborate and work closely with the Engineering, Materials and Project Management teams to ensure project milestones are met on-time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conducting manufacture, repairs and maintenance of the Sonar 2093 and Degaussing Systems at the Rydalmere workshop
- Supporting Maintenance activities on board Navy Vessels
- Performing Soldering and electrical connections
- Performing mechanical assemblies in accordance with assembly drawings
- Carry out testing and inspection to Sub-assemblies, and using specialised test equipment as applicable.
- Perform risk assessments and create subsequent JSEA’s for each task performed
- Providing routine status reports on refurbishment and manufacturing activities utilising visual management boards.

**How About You?**
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in soldering and electrical connections to IPC standard
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Must have good initiative, self-management and planning skills
- Ability to problem solve and work to tight deadlines
