**About the Centre**

The Boroondara Sports Complex is an important community asset that attracts a significant number of visitations and community engagements each year and is part of a network of aquatics and recreation centres within the City of Boroondara, which includes Hawthorn Aquatics and Leisure Centre, Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre and Kew Recreation Centre.

Boasting a range of facilities such as an outdoor 50m lap pool, 5 court indoor sports stadium, state of the art gymnastics facility, health club & gym, weekly group fitness classes and a café, we offer a wide range of programs and services to suit everyone. **About the Role**

As the Centre Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and vision for the general operations of the centre. You will be a key leader, not only within Boroondara Sports Complex, but within the YMCA recreation leadership team.

We are looking for someone who can not only balance day to day priorities, but who has a passion for innovation in programming and customer service. This will enable you to achieve our contract deliverables while also contributing to the evolving suite of services that positions the Y to exceed Council expectations and continue to set the industry benchmark in the management of recreation and aquatics facilities.

You will lead a multitude of business units including Customer Care, Health & Wellness, Aquatic Safety, Operations, Gymnastics, and Community Engagement. You will be highly visible within the centre and the local community, forming strong relationships and partnerships that add value to the business operations and ensure services meet the needs of our communities.

This position is being offered on a full-time basis with a total remuneration package of $113-123k + super.

**About You**

As Centre Manager, you will be a strong people leader, providing vision and leadership for our staff while working in partnership with the Boroondara City Council team and other community groups to develop programs and services to meet the needs of our community.

As an excellent oral and written communicator, you will engage our staff and the community, driving the business while maintaining the assets under your control.

You will have a demonstrated ability to improve business performance, have strong business and financial acumen, with a focus on cultivating a culture of continuous learning among our staff.

**Qualifications & Experience**

Experience in a similar leadership role within the Sports & Recreation industry will be highly regarded but if you have significant team leadership and budget management experience from a different industry, we would love to hear from you.
- Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management, Business Management, or other related field will be highly regarded
- Previous leadership experience is essential
