**About the Centre**

The Boroondara Sports Complex (BSC) is a large sports centre, housing three outdoor pools include a heated 50 metre lap pool, a shaded program pool, and a dive pool with a five metre dive tower and one and three metre springboards. We run over 60 group fitness classes each week, offer year-round outdoor swimming, host indoor sports competitions in our stadiums, and provide child care services in a safe and engaging environment.

**About the role**

We are looking for swim teachers to take on regular classes over the summer period, to build relationships with the children in our program, and ensure consistency in teaching. There is also opportunities for additional hours at our other Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic sites through summer and at the conclusion of our summer lessons.

We operate a small 22 week swimming lesson program over summer, one night per week as well as weekends. Lessons are held in our leisure pool which is a toasty 31.5 degrees. BSC will also host a number of school lessons running during the day through term 4.

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $29.44 - $33.77 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far as a Swim Teacher

**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain before commencing)
- Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain before commencing)

**Other Desired Qualifications**
- Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics
- Teacher Developing Competitive Strokes or equivalent
- Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion
- Teacher of Adults
