**About the role**:
We are seeking a People Advisor to join our People & Culture Team, based in our Head Office in Marsden Park. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture you will provide advice, support and solutions to our leaders and teams on all People related matters.
We are looking for an individual who is keen on expanding their career. Working closely with the Head of People and Culture and Payroll / HR Officer, the People Advisor will proactively oversee the operational HR activities of the business, while partnering with managers to ensure we provide accurate generalist HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle.
**What's involved**:
- Align HR priorities of the business to ensure we achieve our strategic goals, as well as meeting our legislative and regulatory obligations;
- Provide talent acquisition advice to managers and assist with recruitment and onboarding;
- Operational HR management advice on matters relating to employment t&cs, including interpretation of awards and the EA;
- Partner with managers and build strong rapport in investigating and resolving workplace grievances, performance management issues and industrial relations matters;
- In consultation with the Head of People & Culture, identify operational HR gaps, and develop HR strategies to benefit the organisation and its strategic goals;
- Support employee relations grievances and any investigations;
- Provide advice and guidance to both leaders and employees around the country.
You will have a generalist HR background with a good understanding of talent acquisition and employee relations.
**You'll need**:
- Tertiary qualification in HR, psychology, business or a related discipline;
- 3+ years’ experience in a HR Generalist capacity ideally within a multi site role, partnering with senior managers;
- Strong problem solving ability when under pressure;
- You are articulate with strong communication skills (both written and verbal);
- You have highly effective people and interpersonal skills;
- Strong relationship building skills with a focus on customer satisfaction;
- Able to understand and interpret relevant Awards & enterprise agreements;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Able to demonstrate sound, pragmatic judgement with a track record of taking the initiative and achieving pragmatic outcomes;
- The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions.
