Sustainability is a priority for SunRice and is at the core of everything they do. Since their earliest days, they have understood that their success depends on sustaining the health of the fields and the communities in which they operate around the globe.

**The role**

SunRice’s Sustainability commitments are across three core pillars: ‘Our Environment’, ‘Our Communities’ and ‘Our Nourishing Products’. Reporting to the Group Head of Sustainability, this newly created role will be responsible for supporting the Group through the development and improvement of systems and collection of data to support the achievement of the sustainability targets and reporting. The role will also support the team and broader Group to identify, develop and implement the company’s global sustainability initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include:

- Develop and support key systems to enable SunRice to report on its sustainability metrics, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders and assisting in developing plans for improving data integrity and scope.
- Support the Social Sustainability Advisor in the roll out of the Sustainable Supplier Programme (SSP), supporting the collation of supplier self-assessment questionnaires and ethical audits tracking, monitoring and reporting.
- Work alongside stakeholders to support the development, analysis and preparation of the data and the associated with internal and external sustainability reports (e.g., SBTi and APCO commitments)
- Provide insights on the inclusion of other key sustainability metrics to strengthen SunRice’s relationship and engagement with suppliers.
- Prepare internal briefs and options papers for the Board and Executive (CMT) under the broad review of the Group Head of Sustainability and other key internal stakeholders.

**About you**

You have a blend of analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical data in a clear and concise manner. You have strong attention to detail and a proven ability to process and analyse large volumes of data that provide valuable insights to the business and measure key performance. You are a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and the drive to get things done, even when you’re under pressure. In addition, you will possess the following:

- Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, engineering, procurement, commerce, business, accounting, finance or environmental science or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a corporate, financial services or consultancy role, with a preference for experience in sustainability or ESG.
- Experience in data analysis for decision making, preferably sustainability performance data (i.e., energy, emissions, water and waste).
- Experience in reporting, including advanced skills in Excel.
