The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for developing and managing data analytics capability to support company Stewardship and Carbon Net Zero objectives. As a member of Workplace Solutions shared service function, the role will focus on Built Environment's influence and contribution to environmental sustainability.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As an ideal applicant, you'll have had experience across the following accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in data management and analysis, and experience in a variety of data analysis tools
- Demonstrated experience in internal and/ or external environmental reporting
- Significant experience at working with and fostering relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
- The ability to prioritise and work effectively under tight deadlines whilst demonstrating effective time management skills
- Through data analysis the ability to identify and drive energy strategies and carbon reduction programs
- The ability to develop and manage sustainability reporting for Built Environment
- The ability to provide insights into energy demand, water usage and re-use/ recycling opportunities to maximise BAE Systems Australia sustainability outcomes
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Knowledge of sustainability issues in the built environment
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal, written and visual presentation skills
- The ability to articulate technical topics in plain language to business stakeholders
- A collaborative, data lead and results-oriented self-starter
- Advanced communication skills both verbal and written
- Grasp of change management methodologies to embed improvements
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver business needs
- Intermediate IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS project)
- Eligibility for Australian Defence Security Clearance
