**Position Overview**
The Purchasing Manager will work across the business to support RØDE’s manufacturing and supply chain transformation journey. They will provide suppliers with forecast and relevant information as well as coordinating materials requirements to ensure reliable supply of materials timed to meet production requirements.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- One of the main contacts for organisational procurement related matters
- Communicate and liaise with internal departments and stakeholders to harmonise with the strategic objectives, gathering information and parts about the needs of various departments
- Manage and develop the purchasing team, optimising organisation, recruiting new talent, motivating and training the team to increase value and efficiency to RØDE
- Define purchasing long and short-term strategies and policies
- Establish essential guidelines for approving purchase orders, set purchasing policies, manage inventory, accuracy of bill of materials and continuously monitor stock requirements for Supply Chain
- Participate in supplier negotiations for escalated shortages, handle queries, make agreements, improve the purchasing process, and negotiate cost efficient deals without compromising on quality
- Responsible for negotiating with key suppliers at a senior and strategic level, complying with RØDE requirements
- Manage and track orders of parts for production orders and suppliers DIFOT
**You will require the following skills and experience to be successful**:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Supply Chain Management, Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in demand planning, purchasing or similar role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a purchasing team
- Experience with any ERP system
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean process improvement and a technical understanding of components
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively organise, prioritise and accomplish multiple tasks, make timely decisions and problem solve independently
