**The Position**

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will form part of the local management group and oversee the commercial finance functions relating to a large and forward-thinking surgical business unit within this well regarded healthcare provider. As a senior finance business partner, you will play a vital role in driving the financial success of the business unit. You will be responsible for partnering with various operational stakeholders to provide financial insights, analysis and recommendations.

This is a highly visible and influential role that requires a combination of strong financial acumen, business partnering skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital & healthcare environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, guide and mentor a team of three
- Act as a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders, providing financial guidance and support to drive key business decisions
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives
- Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities
- Preparation of regular financial performance reports, including commentary of actual versus forecast, along with recommendations of improvement
- Provide guidance on costing, profitability analysis and cost optimisation

**Skills and Experience**
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience in a senior finance related role with a commercial focus
- Demonstrated people leadership abilities and experience
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience operating as a business partner to operational stakeholders
