- Provide insights and analysis to business development team
- Assist with decision making of new business deals

**Primary Objective**:
Contribution to the origination of new business deals by developing commercial energy solutions that best meet customer needs and internal requirements.

Energy solutions include expansion of existing power generation assets (brownfield), or new generation assets (greenfield) aligned with execution of corporate strategy.

**Specific Accountabilities**:
**Commercial development of energy solutions**
- Financial and technical modelling of generation projects/assets including thermal and renewable generation, battery storage and gas transmission/supply
- Commercial solution development via hybrid renewable power generation project techno-economic (LCOE) modelling
- Developing technical and financial assumptions to support the modelling of generation projects/assets including thermal and renewable generation
- Commercial analysis of power generation opportunities
- Preparation of investment committee and board papers
- Preparation of external presentations and submissions including customer submissions for tender processes
- Manage external advisors/consultants as necessary
- Partnering with various teams / functions within the business to bring together enterprise-wide input and expertise

**Stakeholder management**
- Proactively manage stakeholder issues and concerns
- Maintain company’s reputation
- Develop strong intra-business relationships and understanding to facilitate effective internal partnering
- Ensure compliance with regulatory operations
- Drive high levels of stakeholder satisfaction

**Capabilities Required**

Tertiary qualification in STEM discipline e.g., Economics, Finance or

Engineering with relevant work experience in energy generation or

utilities. (A double degree in engineering and a finance or business

discipline would be highly regarded)

**Experience, skills and Knowledge**
- Commercial acumen
- Utilities / Energy Industry knowledge (preferred but not necessary)
- Financial literacy - financial analysis and modelling
- Stakeholder management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working in dynamic team environment
