The Audience Data & Insights Team, forms part of the Corporate Strategy Division. The team is evolving with the work we do, paving the way for SBS’s audience-led, data driven transformation, for the benefit of all Australians. A team of passionate and curious researchers, we strive through creating opportunities through insights to tell stories.
**About the role**
This role is responsible for research focused on audiences, delivering a deep understanding of their content, platform and language needs, ultimately supporting SBS as a distinctive network. The role will take a considered approach to the research that is inclusive and representative of diverse communities. Managing bespoke research that uses insights to inform strategy and support key business initiatives.
Reporting into the Audience Research Lead, this role will see you doing the following:
- Developing clear actionable insights to help shape business strategy and present to senior decision makers, across the business to inform and guide their decisions
- Working across the business to deliver a broad spectrum of audience research, including post campaign evaluations, and digital product satisfaction studies
- Driving customer centricity and drive a deep understanding of audience motivations, behaviours and their impact on brands and products
- Working with the Audience Research team on various multilingual research activities
- Actively contribute to the organisation’s understanding of the changing media landscape, by monitoring industry sources and sharing relevant information with the wider team
- Keeping up-to-date with industry research technologies and innovations in the market for optimal audience measurement
**About you**
- An experienced researcher, curious to understand diverse Australian audiences
- 3 years + market research experience desired, with broadcast or media knowledge an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy with data and attention to detail
- Ability to produce impactful and actionable insights to key stakeholders, in the form of written reports and presentations
- Strong organisation and project management skills, that lend to managing complex research projects
- An open-minded team player that is culturally led
**This is a full-time 6 month contract, Sydney based, hybrid role (3 days in the office)**
