Sydney, Australia LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) Full time

Role Responsibilities
- Advise, support, and implement LSEG’s operationalization of privacy compliance in business functions.
- Identify legal, business, and technical infrastructure requirements and controls to enable privacy compliance
- Help to solve unique and complex privacy related issues that impact the business
- Contribute to the development and execution of both functional and operational strategy
- Work collaboratively to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the business, legal and compliance, and information security functions to promote privacy compliance
- Assist with policy and process development and reviews to ensure compliance with data privacy obligations across jurisdictions
- Support business teams and Legal colleagues with privacy issues in contract negotiations with customer and vendor relationships, including documentation such as data processing agreements and data transfer agreements
- Participate as required in internal meetings, client meetings, and industry events
- Assess and advise on the mitigation of data risks in new and changing products and services including those risks generated by trans-border data flows, through Data Privacy Impact Assessments and Privacy by Default/ Design requirements
- Help create, update, and deliver training
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Relationships
- Working as part of the Global Privacy Office, engage with colleagues within Legal and Compliance, Information Security, Technology, and other business partners. Engage with external counsel, consultants, industry bodies and other experts as requested.

Essential Skills/Experience Required
- Excellent working knowledge of business environment with some financial background preferred
- Some knowledge on GDPR and UK GDPR and awareness of data protection laws globally.
- Ability to navigate project and driving the data protection discussion and advise business on legal transactional matters
- Ability to execute privacy compliance and operationalization tasks and help develop governance practices and processes across the business
- Outstanding commitment to internal and external customer service
- The ability to work in a complex and developing environment with multiple priorities
- Experience in working autonomously, making sound judgments, and providing appropriate recommendation
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to build strong, trusted, and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across different functions and cultures, positively influencing the behaviour of multiple stakeholders, and successfully balancing legal issues against pragmatic sound solutions
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and oral

Education/ Certifications
- Good knowledge in privacy and data protection
- Data privacy related qualifications desirable
