**Splunk Consultant**
As a result of significant growth and newly released budgets for this year, our international client is seeking an experienced Splunk Consultant to join a a project already in flight. This opportunity will see you join an experienced team on a long term project.
**Length of engagement**: 6-12 months (with possibility of extension)
**Client**: Education sector
**Location**: Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, remote working possible
**Key Skills and Experience**
- Splunk and Datadog Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of both Splunk and Datadog platforms to understand the data structures, functionalities, and differences between the two systems.
- Data Mapping and Migration Planning: Skill in mapping the data sources, indexes, and fields from Splunk to Datadog, and creating a detailed migration plan.
- Data Onboarding: Experience in onboarding various data sources into Datadog, ensuring data consistency, and validating the accuracy of migrated data.
- Dashboard and Visualization Migration: Skill in replicating existing Splunk dashboards and visualizations in Datadog, ensuring a smooth transition for users.
- Alerts and Monitoring Migration: Ability to migrate existing alerts and monitoring configurations from Splunk to Datadog, ensuring the same level of coverage and accuracy.
- Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in automation and scripting to streamline the migration process and reduce manual effort.
- Data Security and Privacy: Awareness of data security and privacy considerations while migrating sensitive information from Splunk to Datadog.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Ability to address and resolve migration-related issues and errors that may arise during the process.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Expertise in monitoring the performance of the migration process and optimizing it for efficiency.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Skill in documenting the migration process and providing knowledge transfer to relevant teams for ongoing support.
