An exciting opportunity exists for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Avanced Health Worker - Cultural Health Program to participate in and contribute to the delivery of a culturally sensitive and appropriate mental health care service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients who access the Mental Health & Specialised Services.

Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Provide a high level of culturally appropriate guidance and assistance in the assessment and treatment planning for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people receiving care from the Cultural Healing Program, Continuing Care Team, MHSS.
- Contribute toward and participate in the establishment and maintenance of communication networks between the Cultural Healing Program, Continuing Care Team, MHSS and relevant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in quality improvement and research activities that support and promote evidence-based practice (National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards).
