**Your new role**
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, as Chromatography Instrument Sales Specialist you will be responsible for:

- Supporting the growth of the business across the NSW and ACT territories, with special focus in Sydney.
- Account management and business development across a broad customer base, including Pharmaceutical companies, Academia and Research institutions, Food safety laboratories and Testing organizations.
- Focus in maintaining existing accounts and generating business opportunities across new markets.
- Establishing effective relationships with decision makers across all levels, including procurement departments, finance, directors, and also scientists within laboratory environments.
- Be an ambassador of the company’s products and services,
- Converting your technical knowledge into customer-centric solutions to support customers’ business and their growth plans.
- Preparing business plans, territory plans, reports, tender documents and relevant product solution documents for customers.
- Planning, and executing the customer demonstrations with collaboration of the demo lab specialists to meet sales targets.
- Collaborating with other departments within the organization, such as Operations and Informatics.

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Technical knowledge and practical solution selling experience within the scientific market (within Microscopy, PCR or related fields), ideally in Chromatography.
- Alternatively, technical experience in a laboratory, with a technical background in Chromatography and mass spectrometry, with interest in starting a career in Sales.
- Strong communication and rapport building skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in scientific area such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry is preferred.
