**Procurement Category Specialist - Sydney Office - Permanent Full Time**

A great opportunity for an Procurement Category Specialist to join a greenfield team to introduce Procurement Management across the Domain Group organisation. This role will be foundational in the establishment of a customer-obsessed Procurement function, which aims to balance the delivery of optimal commercial value, with a best-in-class stakeholder experience.

In this role you will leverage strong stakeholder relationships across the business to promote early engagement with the Procurement Team, as a trusted advisor to the organisation.

**Who are you?**
- Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Develop and implement category strategy to ensure optimum price and minimise risk in all vendor engagements.
- Develop and maintain category plans that identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, drive cost savings, manage risk, improve safety, drive innovation, and ensure the continuous development of categories managed
- Supervise, plan, manage and assume responsibility for all vendor selection/RFx, onboarding and renewal activities associated with the categories assigned
- Facilitate and lead contract negotiations, Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning.
- Address vendor disputes and non-performance to ensure the highest level of service delivery
- Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance in the context of existing contractual obligations
- Manage concurrent deadlines across multiple work streams and stakeholders
