We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Procurement Manager to join our Barangaroo, Melbourne Quarter or Sunshine Coast offices focused on supporting our Retirement Living Business.

The role will report into the Procurement/Contracts Manager and will be focused on supporting the combined efforts of the Procurement team to improve efficiency and cost savings for the 75+ villages across the country through the procurement of required goods and or services.

Your proactive and driven attitude will see you succeed in the team, as well as an ability to work autonomously to deliver professional outcomes. Effective stakeholder engagement and strong communication and efficient data system management will be key to your success as the role will see you engaging with several internal and external partners.

The role encompasses:

- Supporting the Procurement/Contracts Manager with preparing Supplier tenders by collecting relevant Village data and conducting market research on suppliers.
- Maintain regular contact with the Village Management network, ensure procedures on the CMS system are regularly updated and provide training on the CMS system to new Village Managers.
- Liaise with Suppliers with regards any outstanding supporting documentation, periodic performance reviews and rebates to be paid. Ensure rebates are paid and reconciled as per agreements.
- Ensure CMS requests and tasks are completed and that all enquiries from Villages and Suppliers are actioned and that Microsoft Dynamics is maintained.
- Ensure that any breaches to policy or processes is escalated to Procurement/Contracts Manager.
- Develop and maintain cooperative professional relationships with villages and suppliers through investigating and resolving enquiries.
- Prepare monthly reports as required including status of suppliers in CMS and monthly rebate targets.
- Manager onboarding and offboarding of suppliers in CMS
- Maintain CMS database ensuring all information is always up to date
