We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Procurement Manager to join our Sydney or Melbourne office, focused on supporting our Retirement Living Business. You will be joining a close-knit and collaborative procurement team that works across our Retirement Living business nationally.Be confident in using Microsoft Office Suite and learning new technology/systems- Have very strong communication skills and experience in dealing with varied levelled stakeholders- Have a proactive and driven attitude- Be highly organised- Have a strong ability to work autonomously and within a close-knit team- Demonstrate strong relationship building skills- Have an interest for a career in strategic procurement and/or knowledge of the Retirement Living Industry.

The role of the Assistant Procurement Manager encompasses:
- Supporting the Procurement Manager with tender calling, collecting relevant Village data and conducting market research on suppliers.- Working closely with the Procurement Administrator to continually maintain and improve our online supplier management system.- Working closely with the Procurement Administrator to ensure enquiries from site teams and suppliers are investigated and resolved.- Training of site management teams on using our online supplier management system and following procurement processes.- Managing key supplier relationships through periodic performance reviews.- Ensure that any breaches to policy or processes are escalated to Procurement Manager.- Assisting the Procurement Manager with preparation and analysis of various reports to assist with procurement strategy planning.
