**Role**:

- The Attendance and Engagement Officer will support the Middle and Junior Sub School Teams to improve student attendance and engagement at the College. The Attendance and Engagement Officer will work under the supervision and guidance of Sub School leaders to support the Sub School to monitor and follow up on student absences and develop strategies to improve attendance and student engagement. This Attendance and Engagement Officer will need to provide high level administrative support to the Sub School and work directly with students to change their behaviour.

**Responsibilities**:
Under the Guidance and Leadership of the relevant Sub School Leader:

- Provide support to identified students to engage in education and strengthen their attendance.
- Provide high level administrative support, including the completion of attendance documentation in accordance with school and Departmental policy and guidelines.
- Liaise with key personnel, including teaching and education support staff to monitor student punctuality.
- Organise SSGs and other meetings by liaising with Year Level Coordinator.
- Contact families regarding absences and student punctuality and support families to assist their children to attend school regularly and achieve positive schooling outcomes.
- Liaise effectively with external service providers and assist families to access their services
- Actively work to strengthen the connections between the school and families within the College community.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation including confidentiality as relevant.
- Support Sub School Teams to monitor the social, emotional and learning progress of students and provide reports to these teams as required.
- Attend Sub School weekly meetings, Case Management meetings and the Student Wellbeing and Committee meeting.
- Maintain a close working relationship with Sub School Teams.

Undertake any other duties as directed by the Principal.
