Running a newly created role for a large healthcare provider who have businesses across the APAC region and continue to experience growth through acquisition.

Owning all aspects of Networking this role will lead the team and will not be a hands on role. It will be providing tech. guidance and expertise to empower the team of network engineers. A solid background in networking roles with at least 5+ years in IT leadership specifically across networking. With a long pipeline of projects the role will be involved in at least 80% project work with 20% BAU. The role is going to suit someone who has worked in a large scale enterprise business and who has lead teams in this domain as well as driven change in tech. notably in a Palo Alto and Juniper environments. A Cisco environment alongside Palo Alto is also an option for this role.

Must Haves:

- experience leading and driving change in the networking space
- proven people leadership across all network domains
- extensive experience in network engineering preferably in Palo Alto and Juniper environments (Cisco considered)
- experience in network design
- network and security domain experience
- extensive experience working in large enterprise scale, high availability environments
- experience managing OPEX and CAPEX
- vendor management
- strong commercial acumen
- excellent stakeholder engagement

Key to the role will be putting networking standards in place, overseeing many projects in the network arena and building a team. The tech stack is Palo Alto and Juniper and they are a mix of onprem and Azure on the infrastructure side. With acquisitions in flight some key projects will include upgrading to SDWAN, wireless standard rollouts, VPN migrations, replacing network gear, network access control and many more projects in the pipeline. Owning a budget is also key to the role. This is not hands on but more someone who has been a networking SME to guide the team across many projects and oversee BAU.

This is going to suit someone who loves to work at a fast pace, has excellent comms, enjoys stakeholder engagement at all levels and is motivated to drive change and bring in best practice. This is a hybrid role with 3 days week in the office which is CBD.
