Applicants must have a law degree and admission as a legal practitioner. Civil litigation and/or Administrate law experience will be highly regarded.

**Legal Officers are responsible for**: - Appearing on behalf of the Board and advocate on behalf of the Board in judicial review hearings in the Supreme Court and proceedings in other forums. Preparing evidence briefs on high harm prisoners for Board members through a full review of offender parole board files and any other relevant information available that will assist members of the Board in their decision making process and ensure a high degree of procedural fairness;
- Preparation of relevant documentation pertaining to the cancellation or amendment of a Parole Order in accordance with legal obligations and operational guidelines;
- Assisting with the development and provision of training and briefing sessions to share and transfer specialist knowledge, expertise and skills across the Secretariat and related stakeholders in relation to administrative law practice and process.
