General Manager - Terminal Operations, Hazardous Facilities
- Bulk storage, Fuel Terminals experience
- Brisbane or Melbourne based - Travel required.

This successful private growing company has established a strong presence in the Australian market across its divisions with operations that cover fuel import capability and terminal facilities as well as service station offerings. They are seeking an experienced Terminal Operations professional to deliver on a program of capital works for terminal facilities.

The role will also take responsibility for the management of Terminal Operations across Australia covering Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania and the provision of leadership around engineering projects, HSE obligations as well as liaison with regulatory bodies, insurance partners etc.

**Role Expectations and outcomes**:
Oversee, lead, and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the terminals, including ship discharges, Major Hazard Facility safety programs, safety case development, fuel quality issues, maintenance, training, and environmental issues.

The project management and the delivery of greenfield major projects delivering fuel terminal and bulk storage capability.

You will be involved in determining the contracting and tendering strategy to deliver the projects. Further, you will be responsible for taking full project ownership and management of internal stakeholders as well as any engaged EPC/EPCM partners.

The role will require frequent travel to sites across Queensland and Victoria to support your team and manage the projects and business.

**Skills and experience should cover**:
You will have a proven background in management of large fuel or chemical terminals, including but not limited to experience in managing Major Hazard Facilities.

You will have highly developed people skills to lead and manage a team across the business.

You will have a proven background in project management with demonstrable experience and case studies of projects you have successfully delivered against all required outcomes for large capital projects.

Experience and foresight to anticipate problems before they occur and manage contractors and the contracts closely.

Experience across major hazardous facilities (MHF’s) - industrial sites such as oil refineries, chemical plants and large fuel or chemical storage sites.

Strong, dynamic line leadership and management with a style that both drives accountability but is across all elements of operations as far as outcomes, planning and a forward-thinking approach, strategic planner and organisational skills but with a tactical focus.

Knowledge of Australian and International Terminal/Bulk Fuel storage building standards/regulations.

You will have also gained extensive knowledge of pipeline facilities and terminal infrastructure.

You will demonstrate experience in the effective project management and delivery of multimillion dollar fuel terminal projects or other associated hazardous bulk fuel storage facilities.
