**Description**:
**About the Role**:

- Create of a common technical system framework
- Lead the R&D, specification and development of MPK's Autonomous and Remote Control system capabilities
- Work with all internal and external stakeholders to progress these technical capabilities from proposal, through technical feasibility, detailed design, and eventually to final implementation and handover to MPK Operations
- Assist the Innovation Project Manager with technical and commercial evaluations
- Participate in the development and production of a Document Management System
- Produce Technical Manuals, Procedures, Drawings and all other required documentation
- Mentor, train and transfer expert knowledge base to junior MPK engineers, and MPK service staff

**Skills and Experiences**:
**About You**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A minimum of ten (10) years proven experience in Plant Automation, Robotics, Systems Integration
- Working knowledge of Cyber Communications, would be considered advantageous
- Experience working on current Autonomous and Remote Control projects in Australia
- Contacts within the Australian Robotics community
- Worked in a collaborative multi-faced, multi-cultural engineering and/or R&D company
- Ability to travel locally, regionally or nationally on occasion
- Proven ability to drive and maintain system improvements and efficiencies
- Previous exposure to or worked in new product development
