The Australian team is seeking an experienced Economics Reporter to join them in a full time capacity based in the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery. This role forms a critical part of the Australian’s leading coverage of politics and economics.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Report and analyse economic data, reports, and speeches

+ Reporting to the Canberra bureau chief and editors in Sydney

+ Come up with your own ideas for engaging digital and print content

+ Ensure that dynamic, original and interesting economics content is being produced efficiently

+ Produce fast, clean copy that interests our readership

**Who are you?**

+ Strong understanding of economics, politics and finance

+ Have senior reporting experience on economics

+ Be able to generate unique stories through contacts and data analysis Able to intersect the economic developments with political consequences

+ You want to tell stories, in words, pictures, video and audio

+ You can write clearly and concisely

+ Work in a team environment
