**Your new company**
Our client is a South Brisbane Based Public Sector Authority. They are looking to engage an Asset Management Officer, who reports to the Infrastructure Asset Coordinator, to provide road and drainage assets information expertise.
**Your new role**
In your new role, you will be promoting a positive culture where knowledge and ideas are shared. You will manage the team’s weakness, strengths, opportunities, and threats to maximise ability and productivity.
You will also:
- Provide effective asset management and financial reporting over all areas, by maintaining the Clients roads and drainage asset registers
- Provide technical expertise in the development of geographical information system capabilities
- Develop asset management solutions including GIS based asset data and customer enquiry data sets
- Provide advice and utilise GIS Branch and corporate. Create Reports and liaise with Stakeholders regarding these.
- Complete asset life cycle including asset creation, condition survey, and creating data flow to ensure accuracy and currency of asset related information.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will be required to have shown knowledge in Asset Management Principles to develop systems and procedures for roads and drainage asset management.
You also need:
- Understanding of development of Asset Management Plan (International Infrastructure Management Manual approach).
- Understanding of spatial information systems and technologies
- Clear communication and teamwork skills.
- Current "C" class driver's licence.
- Relevant technical qualification in Infrastructure Asset management
**What you'll get in return**
This is an initial 6-month placement, with a strong possibility to extend based on performance. The Client is offering a rate $39 - $47 an hour.
