Our client is a growing apparel retailer with both brick and mortar and a strong Ecommerce presence, that has an opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join their team.
This role will be instrumental in supporting and developing the Production team, leading the strategy, along with managing factory compliance.
Your proven experience in managing the entire production process, across countries such as China, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Cambodia will be key.
Main responsibilities include:
- Elevating and protecting high standards of product quality
- Lead a team of 4 direct reports to manage a large volume of orders across apparel, footwear and accessories categories
- Manage factory compliance including onboarding, audits and inspections
- Manage supplier relationships - growing new relationships as well as protecing the current supply chain
- Work with the Product Development team on sourcing, fits, costings and approvals
- Manage fit process - oversee the sending and receiving of all comments
- Understand and manage compliance/testing in relation to both fabric/garment performance and to restricted substances
- Critical path management - run weekly production meetings with direct reports and product team
- Own all supplier communication
- Develop and maintain detailed supplier manual managing all updates to suppliers
- Work closely with your Manager to execute global sourcing strategy
- Manage seasonal production capacities with key partners
To be successful within this role, you will have:
- 5-7 + years Production Manager experience in the Australian Retail market
- A proven track record in a similar role within fashion apparel
- Established supplier networks with overseas factories
- Strong production and technical knowledge
- Leadership excellence with a passion to mentor and develop
- Excellent negotiation skills
You will work within a collaborative team environment, with a competitive salary package that includes an annual incentive component.
