The Opportunity:
Rimes is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help deliver on the strategic product roadmap for our Investment Management Platform, designed specifically for institutional investors, asset managers and service providers to service both their investment data management and exposure & FX management needs.
You will be responsible for providing direction to a product engineering team located in Sydney, responsibilities include prioritising tasks, managing JIRA boards and sprint planning.
The role will require both collaboration with the wider global Rimes technology teams to deliver on the strategic product roadmap and to manage/triage BAU product team activities such as bug fixes and product enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage product engineering team based in Sydney, including organising regular team stand-ups, providing team mentoring and operational oversight on engineering team activities
- Deliver on strategic product roadmap in collaboration with wider global Rimes technology teams
- Assist in Product Release Cycle Management (typically quarterly) ensuring that sufficient testing is conducted and that release notes and documentation are accurate and clearly communicated to stakeholders
- Analyse, triage and prioritise JIRA tickets allocated to the team to track delivery progress and to ensure that they contain sufficient information for the product team to deliver against
- Work with the Rimes Professional & Managed Services teams to ensure that their product requirements are heard, recorded, prioritised and considered for inclusion in upcoming product releases
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure teams to ensure that the Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines are maintained and that Azure Git Repo best practices are followed
- Lead quarterly client webinars to showcase new product features, enhancements and best practices, driving product adoption and client engagement
- Host structured client requirement-gathering workshops to capture detailed business needs and translate them into actionable product backlog items
- Present the Rimes global product roadmap to clients and prospects, clearly communicating product vision, strategic priorities and delivery timelines
- Stay abreast of industry, regulatory and technology trends in investment data, exposure management and FX processes, using these insights to inform, challenge and refine the product roadmap
- Establish and maintain regular feedback loops with clients, users and internal stakeholders to validate product direction and identify new opportunities
- Partner with Sales, Account Management and Client Success teams to support pre-sales activities, assist with RFP responses and ensure alignment between product capabilities and market needs
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of core programming languages and tooling, including C#, SQL, and Python, with the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams and interpret technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud-native solutions and DevOps; Microsoft Azure Cloud experience strongly preferred
- Experience in Azure Databricks, Snowflake and AI tooling & technologies highly desirable
- Ideally holds recognised project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), demonstrating capability across both traditional and agile delivery frameworks
- Proven track record in Product Management or a related role within financial markets or superannuation
- Strong understanding of Fund of Fund structures, exposure management, asset allocation, risk frameworks, and FX hedging processes
- Demonstrated ability in presenting complex concepts to senior external stakeholders and clients in a clear, concise and engaging manner
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical groups.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products in an agile environment
