**Your new role**

The Senior Change Manager will play a key role in ensuring adoption, resistance management and readiness is well-managed with change initiatives. In this role you will focus on the people's side of change, supporting changes to business process, systems and technology, job roles and organisational structures. The primary focus will be developing change strategies and implementing the associated change activities and plans to minimise employee resistance and maximise employee engagement.

The Senior Change Manager will also work with key stakeholders across the organisation. While the Senior Change Manager does not have supervisory responsibility, this person will have to work through many others in the organisation to succeed.

Change delivery
- Have a strong understanding of different organisational change frameworks

Expert change advice and support
- Act as a thought leader on organisational change approaches
- Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams to enable adoption and achieve outcomes
- Provide high level expertise in a field or discipline that is critical to the program or organisation

Program and project management
- Identify and manage risks and issues related to managing change and adoption
- Develop strategies and plans to maximise adoption and minimise resistance
- Plan the sequence of projects or activities to enable effective implementation
- Understand business needs to ensure the change is designed to deliver upon desired organisational goals

Written Communication
- Edits written communications to ensure they contain the information necessary to achieve their purpose
- Ensures appropriate style and formats are used

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Local/state government experience
- Experience and expertise in change management methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with particular emphasis in the areas of influencing, conflict resolution and assertiveness in order to manage
- resistance to change and ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems
