The role

We are looking for a Pricing & Commercial Manager to drive and support pricing opportunities across the firm.

Working closely with senior stakeholders including senior management (e.g. Chief Financial Officer), partners, lawyers and across our business advisory service teams, this role is responsible for developing commercial pricing solutions that deliver value to our clients and the firm.

This role will be right for you if you have a proven track record in proactively partnering with the business to drive pricing decision. You will do this by utilising your technical skills and your commercially oriented approach to influence positive pricing outcomes.

Key responsibilities

This varied and exciting role will see you:
- Act as a trusted adviser to Partners and senior fee earners in all aspects of pricing- Undertake financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions both at the client and matter levels- Manage and provide pricing support for panel and client tenders- Support the firm's pricing approval process- Lead the annual rate review process and communication of rates- Develop pricing capabilities across the firm, through education and training, with a focus on delivering profitable outcomes and client focused pricing solutions; and- Develop tools and resources to improve the pricing process, including the monitoring of financial performance against plans.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a pricing or Management Accounting role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment- A solid understanding of fee arrangements utilised in law firm pricing- Extremely numerate, with the proven ability to convert complex/raw data into actionable insights and commercial outcomes- Understanding of law firm financials and pricing arrangements- Strong relationship building, influencing and senior stakeholder management skills- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach- Advanced Excel skills
