**About The Position**:
The Technical Lead is a key leadership role with exciting opportunities as the Whispir technology team builds on the accelerated global and regional growth of the past two years. You'll be coaching and providing people and technical leadership to our awesome engineers. Ultimately we are looking for someone who cares about people, enjoys working with impactful technology and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver great customer experiences.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As Technical Lead in Whispir you will be leading a product engineering team of full-stack developers. Your responsibilities will include:

- Work closely with product managers to design, evaluate, plan and estimate product features
- Provide technical leadership for the engineers in your team on a day to day basis
- Take on challenging and complex coding tasks
- Build a safe and supportive professional environment that embraces diversity and inclusion
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement of best practices
- Ensure that security, data quality, cost-efficiency, stability and performance are always important considerations for our solutions
- Work closely with other technical and product leaders as well as other stakeholders (such as support, sales, finance, etc)
- Guide, coach and support the team and individual developers in learning and capability development
- Work with delivery, product, operations and other teams to plan and track progress

**About You**:

- A thought leader and a great communicator to technical and non-technical audience
- Great experience with leading and mentoring a team of engineers
- Somebody that relishes the challenges and opportunities that a scaling technology business provides
- Excellent knowledge of Javascript/Typescript, both on the frontend (React) and backend (Node).
- Extensive experience with AWS and serverless cloud native architecture
- Some experience with Auth0 or other Identity platform services
- Excellent knowledge of software design and architecture
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and CI/CD (e.g. Buildkite)
- Extensive experience working in product engineering teams
- Experience working with team members located onshore and offshore
- Some knowledge of Java to understand our legacy code is also a bonus
