To honour and respect our elders as family in happy, caring communities is our continuous mission._ - **About The Role**_ - This newly created Facility Manager role will be the key person to lead the operation for one of our Nursing homes in Upper North Shore, Sydney._ - Being a strong people leader, the Facility Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational, personnel and associated matters at the residential aged care facility. Key responsibilities of the position are to ensure all professional care and support services are delivered in accordance with the organisation's objectives, policies and procedures; and to ensure that the residential aged care facility is managed and maintained within the approved budget, formal accreditation standards, compliance requirements and reporting requirements._ - **Key Responsibilities**_ - _Build and maintain an effective and skilled team by establishing role clarity at the direct report level and ensuring that performance expectations, development and accountabilities are clearly set and regularly reviewed in accordance with ANHF’s Performance Planning and Review system annually. _ - _Manage day-to-day service operations to ensure the safe and highest quality of care is provided to residents in accordance with evidence-based residential care practices and ANHF policies and procedures._ - _Lead the development & implementation of the service’s annual business plan in accordance with Residential Care’s strategic and business objectives, ensuring that performance is monitored on a quarterly basis._ - _Manage multi-disciplinary systems for care assessment, planning & delivery to ensure high quality person-centred care for each resident, attracting the appropriate level of AN-ACC funding. _ - _Provide and/or make arrangements for the provision of supervision, training, instruction, information and equipment necessary for staff to perform duties safely, effectively and efficiently._ - _Build and maintain an effective and skilled team by establishing role clarity at direct report level and ensuring that performance expectations, development and accountabilities are clearly set and regularly reviewed_ - _Ensure all activities of the facility comply with all accreditation standards and all legislative/regulatory requirements. _ - **About the Successful Applicant**_ - **Essential**:_ - _Current practising registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA for at least 5 years._ - _Minimum 5 years experience in a management role in a residential aged care service management role. _ - _Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage staff at all levels. _ - _Evidence of effective leadership and team building._ - _Highly organised and previous experience with computerised care systems. _ - _Deep knowledge of the aged care industry, aged care funding, care minutes, regulations and accreditation process._ - _Source financial management skills with the ability to work within budget and agreed timeframes._ - _National Police Clearance._ - _Australian or NZ Citizenship / Permanent Residency._ - _Fluent in written and oral English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin). _ - **Desirable**:_ - _Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations._ - _Experience in commissioning a new residential aged care facility._ - **About Benefits**_ - We offer a range of benefits including competitive pay rates, RDOs, ongoing training and career development opportunities within the organisation.
