**About the role**
An opportunity is now available for a Contract Specialist**to join Boart Longyear's Commercial Team. This position will be based in our Perth office, reporting into the Commercial Manager - Australia.
The primary responsibility of this role will be preparation and participation in tendering processes, as well as supporting current contracts. The key success of this role lies in the coordination, preparation and submission of quality tender documents. You will need to be able to work autonomously and be confident in financial modelling and data analysis, to successfully develop bid sheets and pricing for new tenders, whilst maximising contract performance on existing projects.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Tender Management: end to end tender process, developing a project plan for each tender submission, coordinating internal stakeholders, tender risk analysis, preparation of costing information, productivity assumptions and final pricing of tender process;
- Contract Management and Administration: monitoring contract expiry dates and rollover process, ensuring all charges are covered under the scope of the contract and tracking established contracts (schedule, deliverables, invoicing and closeout);
- Ongoing monitoring of project performance and contract, including: KPIs, prepare and coordinate quarterly and monthly review meeting presentations, calculating bonuses/penalties, pricing adjustments, rise/fall clauses and other relevant financial metrics;
- Develop bid and tender processes, templates and other supporting resources.
- Maintain the bids and opportunities database in Salesforce, as well as contract and proposal files.
**The successful applicant must possess**:
- Strong business acumen with sound knowledge of financial modelling.
- Problem solving, strategic and analytical capability.
- Effective time management, with a structured approach to work and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
