This position focused on assisting in the development and preliminary evaluation of a community-based peer support program for young people with spinal cord injury. The role will be for a Research Clinician, preferably a Rehabilitation Clinician, that will primarily be involved in recruiting rehabilitation patients with spinal cord injury, and their parents, into the study. The successful applicant will be responsible for speaking to potential participants and their families and liaising with clinicians to assist with the recruitment process. They may also support other research activities, such as data collection, stakeholder management, and contributing to manuscripts.
**Your responsibilities include**:
Be responsible for the recruitment of potential participants with spinal cord injury, and their parents.
Liaise with and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Manage a REDCap database
Conduct continuous maintenance of neat and orderly records, and data storage
Works to improve skill base in research productivity and methodology
**About you**:
Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in Science or related rehabilitation/health discipline
Is a rehabilitation clinician within the VPRS with an appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation
(Desirable) Knowledge about paediatric Spinal Cord Injury from past clinical or research activities
(Desirable) Ability to contribute to the submission of research papers for publication
(Desirable) Experience with REDCap, data management, and videoconferencing technology highly regarded
