About this opportunity
The Sustainability team is responsible for leading the National Corporate Sustainability agenda in relation to three pillars - environment, social responsibility, and governance (ESG), including working with internal colleagues to deliver our Responsible and Ethical Reputation and Best Place to Work strategic pillars.
The Manager, Sustainability role will lead Aware Super’s Sustainability Governance Reporting, support Sustainability initiatives relating to carbon accounting, responsible supply chain and Sustainable goals, and manage all Sustainability related corporate communications.
This role reports to the Senior Manager - Sustainability and has a close working relationship with senior leaders of the business including the Executive Leadership Team as well as external stakeholders and suppliers.

This position can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane with the flexibility to work from home and the office.

How do you exceed our expectations?
You will have significant experience in the field of Sustainability or Corporate Responsibility and demonstrated ability to deliver on the Sustainability KPI’s aligned to the fund’s strategic targets.

In addition, you will have;
Demonstrated experience in Annual Report preparation and other Governance Reporting;
Experience in Carbon accounting and offsetting;
Sound understanding of complex environmental, social, and governance issues;
Knowledge of internal reporting frameworks and standards;
Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence diverse stakeholders; and
The ability to work autonomously and manage concurrent tasks to deadlines and budget
