We're hiring for a
Manager, Resources & Circularity
to assist in developing, executing, and facilitating a mix of practical and innovative programs to achieve outcomes in line with the Enterprise Strategy and Australia Post's sustainability agenda.
As Manager, Resources & Circularity, you'll be responsible for developing and executing innovative programs that reduce waste, recover resources, and embed circular practices across our operations. Working together with business units, you'll turn big ideas into practical solutions that improve material resource use and elevate our reputation. Collaboration is key You'll partner closely with leaders and the Group Sustainability Office.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract opportunity.
What you'll deliver with us
- Support the execution of Australia Post's sustainability agenda with a focus on reducing waste, resource recovery and embedding circularity in how we operate.
- In conjunction with the Circularity team, co-design an enterprise-wide internal rollout plan with adoption targets and BAU handover steps.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, property, retail, parcels/letters, and procurement, to find new ways to reduce resource use and improve our environmental reputation.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to improve education and reduce waste and lifecycle impact.
- Support data collection and reporting on resource and circularity performance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Offer practical information and tools that are straightforward and enhance circularity capability and actions within the business.
About You
You bring a deep understanding of sustainability and circularity practises, translating technical insights into clear, relatable language. Collaborative by nature, you enjoy supporting colleagues while working independently and confidently engaging senior stakeholders across the enterprise, suppliers, and customers. Pragmatic and adaptable, you influence outcomes, simplify processes, and stay ahead of emerging trends in waste, recycling, and emissions. Your technical expertise, paired with a relevant qualification, ensures you can navigate sustainability regulations and drive impactful programs that make a real difference.
You'll also bring
- Comprehensive understanding of corporate responsibility and sustainability reporting regulations.
- Technical understanding of sustainability and ability to translate clear/relevant and relatable language from insights.
- Monitoring of new trends as they relate to sustainability waste, recycling, and emissions.
- Expert skills in oral and written communications.
