Join us in our mission and become part of a team that not only envisions a better future but actively works to create it.

The opportunity

Netwealth is committed to creating a brighter future through meaningful corporate sustainability initiatives that foster positive environmental and social impact. We're looking for a hands-on Sustainability Manager to keep our sustainability program moving forward and deliver on key commitments.

This is an individual contributor role. You'll be the primary point of contact for sustainability at Netwealth, so you need to be confident working independently and delivering outcomes without a large team or specialist support around you.

As Sustainability Manager, you will:

  • Maintain and execute our sustainability framework and governance processes.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, modern slavery obligations, and ESG reporting requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver transparent reporting, including our Annual Corporate Sustainability Report and Modern Slavery Statement.

  • Monitor sustainability-related risks (climate, regulatory, reputational) and keep stakeholders informed.

  • Support our employee-led Impact Committee with secretariat duties and practical guidance.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to embed sustainability into day-to-day operations.

About you

You're a capable sustainability professional with the confidence to work independently and the experience to deliver results. You know how to take ownership, keep projects moving, and ensure compliance with key standards and frameworks. This role suits someone who's ready to step up and lead delivery. A pragmatic expert who gets things done.

You'll bring:

  • Solid experience in sustainability, ESG, or corporate responsibility—typically 3–5 years in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, modern slavery legislation, and ESG frameworks.

  • Proven ability to manage reporting and compliance requirements independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging stakeholders and preparing reports.

  • Confidence working without direct sustainability peers, comfortable being the subject matter expert.

Life At Netwealth

At Netwealth, our people are our greatest strength. We invest in our employees at every stage of life because when you're at your best, so are we.

We're committed to your growth, offering access to further education, diverse training opportunities, and strong support for career development. We're proud to be recognised as one of the top 5 companies in Australia for Career Development, endorsed by WORK180.

We're big on internal mobility. In fact, 32% of roles filled in 2023 went to our own people.

Our flexible hybrid working model encourages balance, with the expectation of 4 days in the office each fortnight. Our state-of-the-art Melbourne CBD office includes modern end-of-trip facilities and daily breakfast to support your commute and wellbeing.

We offer a range of benefits focused on health, wellbeing, and personal development, including:

  • Family-friendly support: Paid parental leave and a fully funded school holiday program

  • Wellness perks: CU Health (virtual healthcare), income protection, flu shots, wellness weeks, retail discounts, and financial wellbeing services

  • A vibrant culture: Social events, trivia nights, and corporate sports

  • Employee Resource Groups: LGBTQIA+, DAWN (Developing and Accelerating Women at Netwealth), Culture Group, and Carers Group

  • Community impact: Paid volunteering and our Netwealth Impact Group
