About the Role
- The purpose of this position is to provide 'Reliever' support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Hospital Liaison Officers based in Metro South Health facilities, due to leave, secondment or vacancy.
- The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Hospital Liaison Officers work collaboratively with the broader multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the provision of appropriate and culturally sensitive services which contribute to improved health outcomes and the reduction of health inequalities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Hospital Liaison Officers provide assistance and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their families across Metro South Health facilities when visiting, attending emergency services, during hospitalisation and follow-up treatment.
