Our Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Coordinator Infrastructure Operations. This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Roads & Traffic Department.
**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the daily operations of the Infrastructure Department, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical advice and support to the Infrastructure team and other departments.
- Manage and supervise staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets for the Infrastructure Department.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers, and government agencies, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Maintain accurate records, including asset management and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and report on the progress of projects and provide regular updates to senior management.
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure operations and maintenance, preferably in a local government context.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Current driver's license.
A current driver’s licence, WorkCover accredited Construction Induction (White) Card, and traffic control qualifications are a must. Experience with Technology-One software would be advantageous.
