About the role:
Our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) unit supports Australians in transitioning to cleaner energy by rapidly developing scalable, sustainable electrification products. We invest in pioneering concepts and transforming the most impactful ideas into products that reshape how Australians live, work, and move.

What you’ll be doing:
- Spot growth opportunities through market scans and competitor analysis, using industry insights to stay ahead of the competition. Coordinate with E&I and other AGL teams to deliver strategic analyses and recommendations to the Board and executive leadership.-
- Aid the Head of Innovation & Strategy in defining the business unit strategy for E&I.-
- Lead ideas discovery and (in)validate their feasibility, desirability, and viability using the innovation framework.-
- Collaborate with Commercial & Data team to build business cases for new products and services.-
- Engage with external ecosystems to build relationships, establish partnerships, and identify investment opportunities.-
- Create and maintain reporting tools to ensure I&S is delivering on its initiatives.About you:
- Previous demonstrated experience working within a strategy role, either in-house or as a consultant.-
- Strong ability to translate complex problems and solutions into clear, concise set of recommendations of actions.-
- Ability to toggle between big picture thinking and attention to small details.-
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.-
- Excellent communication and presentation skills-
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple initiatives concurrently, ensuring timely delivery.-
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, design thinking and startup methods is desirable.-
