**Your key accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

- Undertake policy research and analysis and provide high quality, well researched advice and contribute to the development, implementation, evaluation, review and continuous improvement of legislation and policy frameworks.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing development and/or review of internal weapons policy, practices and procedures and service improvement aspects.
- Prepare submissions including Ministerial Briefing Notes, Executive Briefing Notes and briefings for various state and national forums on matters of interest to senior leadership and Government.
- Negotiate and consult with clients, committees, agents and other stakeholders in relation to Weapons policy and implementation.
- Supervision and performance management of staff.
- Coordinate or undertake special projects to achieve QPS corporate goals and strategic priorities.
