We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled ICT Security Specialist to join our Information Technology team. This role is vital in ensuring the security of our institution's digital infrastructure and the protection of sensitive data.

ICT Security Specialists establish, manage and administer organisation's ICT security policies and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, and to minimise the risk of internal and external security threats.
- Accepts responsibility for the processes, procedures and operational management associated with system security and disaster recovery planning
- Liaises with security vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources
- Design, implement, and manage ICT security strategies and protocols.
- Monitor systems for security breaches and perform risk assessments.
- Implement and manage firewalls, encryption programs, and other security measures.
- Conduct security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements.
- Provide expert advice on the institution’s cyber security policies and procedures.
- Train staff on security best practices and develop awareness programs.
- Respond to security incidents and mitigate threats in a timely manner.

**Key Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven experience ( 10 yrs) as an ICT Security Specialist or network engineer role.
- Strong knowledge of ICT security frameworks, risk management, and compliance.
- Proficiency in network security, encryption, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with security tools and systems like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise series
- Implementation is a must
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
