**Position Information**: Heathcote High School is a comprehensive high school serving the learning needs of approximately 700 students. Our location, close to the Royal National Park, provides a spacious, peaceful bush setting for our students and community. Our teaching staff are dedicated professionals, committed to the delivery of learning programs designed to cater for the diverse range of student learning needs with a high potential stream in the junior school. We further support students with specific learning needs in our autism support classes. In addition to the general selection criteria, 1. Approval to teach English 7-12 with proven capacity to review current teaching practice and embed innovative curriculum design in line with curriculum reforms. 2. Demonstrated capacity to support teachers in developing and implementing high quality teaching and learning programs, assessment and learning experiences that are engaging for students of all abilities. 3. Proven ability to lead differentiation at a faculty level to improve student growth. 4. Demonstrated capacity to lead literacy programs using an evidenced-based, best practice approach to improve student learning outcomes, supporting the school’s strategic direction. **General Selection Criteria**: 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
