**The Role**
Within the Personnel Security function an APS6 Security Policy Officer is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex security policy work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making, Defence's mission and policy requirements.
**About our Team**
The Directorate of Intelligence and Security - Army provides the organisation with a protective security capability that oversees intelligence and security policy as well as technical security advice across the Army enterprise. The protective security team is responsible for physical, personnel and cyber security.
The APS6 position is responsible to the Deputy Director Security - Army to manage a small team to provide personnel security advice and technical support. They are expected to review and develop the quality of work undertaken by others in the work group. They may exercise a degree of autonomy and exercise associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve business outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
