Role Detail

Since it’s launch in late 2023, the Pricing team has significantly advanced the Firm’s strategic objectives, increased commercial awareness, and exceeded key firm goals. As we enter the second phase, we are expanding the team to build on this success.

Joining our Finance Division, a team of 60+ nationwide, in this key role, supported by advanced reporting dashboards, you’ll assist Senior Management with commercial pricing, RFPs, legal panel tenders, financial analysis, and management reporting.

Reporting to the Director Pricing, this role will work closely with the Business Development (BD&M) team, Client Relationship Partners, and the broader Finance team _(FS&D, Financial Accounting and Matter Accounting),_ Senior Management and other shared services teams.

You will deliver business insights to enhance performance and continuously look at ways to refine our processes, reporting, and procedures as the business evolves. This diverse role provides unique exposure and experience, with the potential to grow into a leadership role overseeing one direct report.

With a balanced approach to WFH, key responsibilities will include:

- Driving the Firms strategic pricing objectives, commercial standards, and pricing governance.
- Supporting Partners with client and matter pricing support, as well as driving pricing initiatives.
- Raising commercial awareness with Partners and influencing their pricing decision making and strategic client fee deals (both panels and matters).
- Delivering pricing support, reporting and analysis with a focused, co-ordinated, and consistent approach.
- Producing pricing models and negotiation strategies for strategic client deals and provide support through the pricing process.
- Supporting the design of client pricing proposals and submission of pricing proposals aligned with Business Development key strategies.
- Client facing, engaging with client procurement in client fee negotiations and supporting the Partners throughout.
- Raising commercial awareness with the broader business and delivering commercial awareness training to fee earners and business professionals.

About You

To set you up for success, you will also bring:

- Degree in Business or Commerce (or similar) and be CA or CPA qualified
- Approx 8-10 years commercial experience post-graduation in analytical, reporting and pricing role.
- Preferably management accounting experience in a professional services firm or Top 100 ASX company, or similar disciplined environment
- High level of attention to detail, analytical and conceptual skills
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience using dashboard and query analysis tools for analysis and reporting (e.g. Power BI) and an understanding of datasets and databases will be looked on favourably
